Concerts and parties in Berlin – every genre, free and with respect for each other. What we stand for

Privacy

Only the German version of this page is legally binding.

In short

This site sets no cookies, uses no tracking and no analytics tools, and loads nothing from other servers – no fonts, no scripts, no maps.

The only script is one for the lists: search, filters, “Near me” and marking gigs that are already on (for that it reads your device’s clock). It runs only in your browser and is technically unable to send data; what you type never leaves your device.

Location (“Near me”)

Only when you tap “Near me” does your browser ask whether the site may have your location. If you allow it, the site works out in your browser how far away the venues are. Your location is not stored, not sent and not put in the address bar; once you close the page, it is gone.

Responsible

See the legal notice.

Hosting

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open it, GitHub processes technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, time, browser) to deliver the site and keep it running securely. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (secure operation of the site).

Data may be transferred to the USA in the process. GitHub is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which is covered by an adequacy decision of the EU Commission (Art. 45 GDPR); GitHub also uses the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Details: GitHub’s privacy statement.

We ourselves receive no data about individual visitors.

Calendar entries

The calendar icon next to a gig downloads that one date as a file from GitHub. The same technical data is processed as when opening a page; after that, the date only lives in your calendar.

Concerts link to the venues’ pages or to radar.squat.net. Only when you click do you leave this site; the privacy policy of that site applies then. We do not send where you came from (referrer).

The “Route” button below the map opens your device’s maps app (Apple Maps on Apple devices, your default maps app on Android, otherwise OpenStreetMap in the browser) with the venue’s location. We do not pass on your location; the maps app finds it itself, under its own privacy rules.

Email

If you write to us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them once they are no longer needed. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (being able to reply to you). Our mailbox is hosted by Proton AG in Switzerland, for which the EU Commission has issued an adequacy decision.

Your rights

You have the right to information, correction, deletion and restriction of processing, to object, and to complain to a supervisory authority; in Berlin, that is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
